The UN Integrated Drought Management Program (IDMP) is a collaborative initiative, spearheaded by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the Global Water Partnership (GWP). Challenge
Recognizing the potential of publicly available web data in tackling global drought and flood challenges, IDMP team embarked on a groundbreaking project in partnership with The Bright Initiative using Bright Data’s market leading data collection products. Together, they are striving to develop a first-of-its-kind tool that utilizes data from various web sources, such as public social media posts and media reports, to closely study, predict, and respond to these increasingly prevalent natural disasters.
