One of the reasons the Bright Initiative was founded was to support education programmes, balancing the social and commercial needs of nurturing future data professionals. Therefore, we are glad to share about our recent UK webinar hosted by CollabGroup.

Bright Data’s The Bright Initiative kicked off its workshop with Manchester Metropolitan University’s RISE Programme on November 24, teaching the first of six classes that delve into different aspects of data as part of an established course for university credit.

It’s hard to ignore the increasing number of floods, wildfires, hurricanes, and droughts wreaking havoc around the world. As the intensity of these natural disasters grows, so too does global awareness of, and concern for, the world’s ecosystems, especially among today’s Millennials (ages 25-40) and Gen Zers (teens and those in their early to mid-20s). This may explain why they are more focused on combating the climate crisis, both personally and professionally, than their predecessors.

The Bright Initiative’s commitment to data-driven research has extended to providing Princeton University with technology to research the reliability of the FCC’s broadband map.

For the last 8 weeks, I have taken on the role of Brand Voice & Marketing Operations Intern for the Bright Initiative. I have been able to get a unique insight into the data industry and how it can be used as a force for good. My internship is one of the many ways Bright Data is giving back to the world and expands on their developing relationship with my university, King’s College.
