Gunja Gargeshwari, Bright Data’s Chief Revenue Officer, joined the discussion on how governments worldwide can leverage public web data.

Public sector services are essential and often provide the first line of defense for the most vulnerable. However, given governments’ sheer size, and non-profit nature, efficiency isn’t especially incentivized, nor are the entities providing public services notorious for their flexibility and innovative problem-solving.

Together with DANS (Data Archiving and Networked Services) and The Hague, Netherlands, used the Bright Data network to perform vital research for a recently published paper that explores data access and accessibility in research.

On 28 June 2022, The Bright Initiative, in partnership with Women in Data, a network of 25,000+ data professionals, will host a summit of data leaders from UK Government departments, public agencies, and major businesses to discuss the major role data can play in enhancing women’s safety, and the steps needed to make it happen. The event plans to set out an ambitious program for change.

The Bright Initiative recently hosted a major summit in London that brought together global data leaders to explore how data can be used in a more impactful manner to combat violence against women and girls.

The Bright Initiative was recently selected to participate in the UK government’s Data Skills Task Force (DST). This task force promotes collaboration and drives action in the country’s national response to addressing widespread skills deficits in the fields of data science and AI.
